Kevin Growney

Kevin Growney is the Associate Vice Chancellor of Financial Planning and Analysis (FPA) at KUMC. The vision of Financial Planning and Analysis (FPA) is to provide strategic direction for the institution including financial modeling, business case analysis and risk assessments. It is comprised of a small team with institutional experience, knowledge and vision to advance the mission of the institution. The majority of work is project based, with an emphasis on key work prioritized by the Executive Vice Chancellor and Chief Financial Officer.

Kevin joined KUMC in 2004 as Director of Business Operations in Facilities Management. After transitioning to Institutional Finance in 2012, he has played various roles culminating with leading the FPA group in 2017. Kevin started his career at Accenture, followed by multiple roles at Sprint and consulting firms. He also served as an adjunct faculty member teaching Accounting, Finance and MIS. Kevin graduated with a Bachelors degree in Accounting from Kansas University followed by an MBA at Indiana University with an emphasis in Finance and MIS.

At the end of 2024, Kevin will be moving to a phased retirement helping the HR Learning and Development team develop a training program focusing on the great mission of KU Medical Center.
