Want to help us improve? Ask yourself these questions to get started!

The path to continuous improvement starts with a question
To embody our vision of being an exceptional learning community, we must be willing to ask questions and try new things. Failure or missteps are not the end but the beginning of getting better each day. We need your ideas to reimagine what KU and higher education could look like in the future.
Here are a few conversation starters to help you brainstorm what might need to get better or potential new paths our organization can take.
- What are some interesting things other college or universities appear to have figured out that we should maybe copy?
- What are some ideas we tried in the past that we should revisit?
- What's one process that slows me down every day, and what can I do to improve it?
- What do I wish KU did that we currently don't do?
- Why do we do things the way we do them? Could there be a better way?
- Are there tools or software we buy that don't provide the same level of savings or revenue to make the investment worth it?
- What processes frustrate our students and what can we do to fix it?
- What processes frustrate our parents and what can we do to fix it?
- What processes frustrate our staff/faculty and what can we do to fix it?
