Biography —
With over three decades of experience in Supply Chain, James has dedicated his career to optimizing processes, enhancing productivity, and achieving annual cost reductions through Six Sigma and activity-based costing methodologies.
Throughout his career, James has successfully led diverse, cross-functional global supply chain operations across Asia, North America, Latin America, and Central Europe. He has collaborated with esteemed organizations such as GE, Raytheon, the consulting firm DGS, and Hubbell, where he held the position of Vice President Global Sourcing.
In 2016, James joined the University of Kansas Medical Center, where he currently serves as Associate Vice Chancellor, Supply Chain. In this role, he continues to drive efficiency, productivity, and innovation. Notably, James spearheaded the project for KUMED, encompassing the selection, contract negotiations, and implementation of Workday, a significant ERP system upgrade for the institution.
James holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the University of Central Missouri and an MBA from the University of Missouri.
